Learn about Promigas' decarbonization roadmap! In which we set the goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2040!

How many tons will we have reduced by then? What is the amount of this benefit? To get an idea of our bet, let's imagine an African elephant. This animal weighs approximately 7.5 tons and reaches 4 meters in height .

In 2040, we will have removed in CO2 the equivalent of 23,300 African elephants in our operational and administrative activities that are directly under our control (what is known as scope 1 and 2). And the equivalent of 15,400 elephants in activities that we generate through third parties (what is known as scope 3).

We will take away from the world the carbon weight of 30,000 times the largest land animal on the earth's surface. Our objective is that by 2040 all our energy production, distribution and transportation activities, our administrative activities and even the activities that we derive from third parties leave a neutral carbon footprint with net zero emissions.

This reduction will be achieved gradually. Our goal is that by 2028, which means 5 years, to have already achieved a significant reduction of 50 % in the intensity of our emissions in scopes 1, 2 and a specific part of 3 .
