Promigas enjoys recognition for its innovation, and it develops clean and de-contaminating technologies with the objective of creating products that will become part of the new era of an economy that empowers low CO2 emissions. Promigas has also demonstrated its strong commitment to sustainable development, always taking into considerations its three pillars (social, economic and environmental), through the modernization of its processes, the efficient use of resources and improving the positive impact of our actions.
Sustainable cities and communities.
Promigas is aware that a pollution-free environment improves the quality of life of the communities. For this reason, we support initiatives to provide a healthy environment in every city where we are present, in order to achieve a better place to live. To fulfill these initiatives, we promote the use of natural gas by households, industry and motor vehicles and public transportation.
We also promote sustainable mobility initiatives among our employees and offer them incentives to commute in a sustainable manner, either by means of public transportation vehicles that use natural gas, or by walking or riding bicycles.
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
Based on the identified climate risks to which we are exposed, Promigas has designed and implemented measures to mitigate these risks by means of plans for the reduction of our carbon footprint, the measurement of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) and setting targets for the reduction of the different types of emissions identified in our operations.
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
We identify the areas that we can intervene in order to protect, preserve, conserve and recover biodiversity through reforestation.
